In the highland of Navelli, area rich of history and traditions, grows the famous saffron, enhanced by the prestigious decoration of “Protected Designation of Origin” (PDO).
The saffron, nicknamed “the red gold of Abruzzo,” is a beautiful flower that grows in October and its wounderful colour transform the area in a great coloured carpet, creating an open air painting board.
To preserve its niche production, Cantinarte cultivates a small but high quality production of saffran in Navelli.
